Visiting Teacher During Class or After-School Program

JapaNina brings Japanese culture directly into classrooms and after-school programs. For example, in an after-school program for 2nd to 5th graders, students learned about Children’s Day in Japan, explored similarities and differences between Japan and the U.S., and created carp streamers and samurai hats through hands-on activities.

For Private Groups‏‏

Tea Ceremony, Japanese Dining Etiquette & Yukata Experience
JapaNina offers intimate home workshops for adults to explore Japanese culture through tea, dining, and traditional dress. Participants learn about Japanese green tea and matcha, the history and cultural significance of the tea ceremony, and take part in a hands-on matcha-making activity with tasting. The workshop also covers Japanese food culture, table etiquette, proper use of chopsticks, and includes a live demonstration of wearing a Yukata (casual summer kimono).
