Explore Ise Katagami, a traditional Japanese craft that uses intricately hand-cut paper stencils to create elegant kimono patterns.
In this hands-on workshop, discover the history and craftsmanship behind this art form, examine authentic stencil materials, and explore how stencil designs transform textiles. You’ll also have the opportunity to see and touch authentic kimono fabrics.
Using Japanese materials and your own choice of pattern and color, create a one-of-a-kind dyed pouch to take home!
